Summary In all honesty, I love this coffee. There's a reason why it won a Cup of Excellence award but that doesn't stop me from thinking twice before buying this bean again. The price is very high for such a low quantity of beans and, while I can understand this to an extent, I'm not quite willing to accept it for my daily coffee. The Brew The El Salvador La Bendicion 2 is honestly sublime when it comes to flavours. The fruit really fill your palate and are accentuated beautifully by the caramel taste. Honestly, the light flavours and fact that it wasn't overly acidic in my brew made this coffee really stand out. The aromas also came through beautifully and really rounded off the taste/smell experience. Mouthfeel and body are very subjective and a lot of it comes down to how you grind and brew your coffee. I feel that this bean has a relatively balanced body. Conclusion I made all of my friends try a coffee with this bean when I first got it because, like I said, it's such a beautiful coffee. However, unless the price comes down, I really can't justify making this my daily coffee. As far as gripes go, it's shouldn't be taken as a dealbreaker for everyone, it just is one for me.
