I tried this bean a while ago but did not have a way to give feedback before now. I was very pleasantly surprised by this bean and wanted to express why I am giving a 5/5 review in as much detail as possible. I used this bean in a homemade cold brew (thanks BeanBurds for showing me how by the way) and a French Press. Both of these methods require a coarser grind to the bean so this may have impacted how I experienced the coffee. Aroma - Clean, fruity and sweet - 8/10 Acidity - Cold brew was very little acidity and even the French Press was sweet. This may be due to the fact that I also brew my coffees at a lower coffee/water ratio depending on my mood which tends to bring out the softer flavours a little more. Either way, 8/10 Body/Mouthfeel - Since I was using coarser grounds, I got a nice, medium body to my coffee which is just right for me - 9/10 Flavour - The real standout for me. While the fruity flavours are definitely present, the toffee really takes center stage and defines the coffee nicely. The sweet aftertaste also lingers beautifully on the palate and roof of the mouth - 9/10 Overall score would probably be 9/10. The top of the review shows 4, I know, but as much as I love this bean, I am not quite ready to give it a perfect score. Honestly, all things considered, this is a beautifully roasted bean that is definitely worth trying if you haven't already.
