Grind by weight, straight into the portafilter
The 270Wi weighs the dose as it grinds, using Acaia load-cell technology built into the device arms, and stops at the gram you asked for, to a tenth of a gram. The i in the name is the software that learns the stop point, so you set a preset and forget the offset.

Straight down, straight out, with 270 ways to set it
The Sette's 40 mm conical burrs are made in Liechtenstein and the adjustment ring is fixed directly to the cone burr, so beans fall straight through and out of the chute with almost nothing left behind. Thirty-one macro steps and a stepless micro ring give the grinder its name.

Cafe-speed motor, home-grinder duty cycle
A 240 W DC motor drives the burrs at 650 rpm, which is why an 18 g dose takes about six seconds and why Baratza asks for a minute's rest between them. Treat it like a one-group cafe machine and it will treat you well.
