A probe that knows when the steak is done, and when to take it off
The 2400 W heating elements are embedded in the cast aluminium plates, not underneath them, so the surface holds a hard, steady sear. An integrated probe reads the inside of the meat, and the LCD tells you when to pull it to rest so it finishes at the doneness you chose.

In BBQ mode the grill lies flat and both plates become one surface for steaks, seafood and pancakes. Six height settings and a floating hinge handle thick and delicate food in contact mode, and the plates and drip tray come out for washing.
