A compressor in the base, so the bowl never goes in the freezer
The Smart Scoop carries its own compressor, so there is no bowl to pre-freeze overnight. Pick sorbet, frozen yoghurt, gelato or ice cream, and it senses the hardness of the mixture as it churns and stops at the texture you chose, then holds it cold for up to three hours.

Auto or manual, a child lock, and a tune when it is done
Automatic mode churns and freezes to the preset; manual mode lets you set the time for your own recipes. A child lock holds the controls, the finished alert can be loud, soft or muted, and the paddle and lid go on the top rack of the dishwasher.
- Makes about 1 L of frozen dessert; add no more than 700 ml of base, it expands as it churns
- Automatic mode with four presets, or manual timed mode
- Child lock: hold the control button for two seconds
- Alert volume: loud, soft or mute
- In the box: anodised bowl, paddle, spatula and a bottle brush
- Paddle and lid are dishwasher safe, top rack only; the anodised bowl is hand wash and never goes in the freezer
- Leave 15 cm clear around the vents; the compressor sits on rubber mounts to keep it quiet
