A lid that lets the steam out before the water can jump
A boiling kettle throws steam and splashes when the lid flips open. The Soft Top lid opens slowly, staggering the steam and keeping hot water in the jug, on a full-size 1.7 L stainless kettle with a 2400 W rapid-boil element.

The Soft Top Luxe is a boil-only kettle done properly: a full stainless steel handle, a 360-degree cordless base with the cord wrapped underneath, and a removable scale filter for the water we have here.
