The ESP Pro swaps the Encore's clicks for a smooth stepless collar with, in Baratza's words, 200 percent more resolution in the espresso range. The setting appears on the display as you turn, with an espresso indicator whenever you are in shot territory.

Timer mode and single-dose mode

Time it, or weigh it in and let the grinder stop itself

One dial and button run both modes. Timer mode grinds to a tenth of a second from the 300 g hopper; single-dose mode takes a pre-weighed dose under the single-dose lid and stops when the chamber is empty. Hold the button for three seconds to switch.

The Pro keeps the Encore's slow-turning motor and 40 mm M2 burrs, then wraps them in anodised cast zinc and adds tool-less burr access, so it cleans like a cafe grinder and lasts like one.

Encore ESP or ESP Pro: which one do I need?

Both use the same 40 mm M2 burrs and motor. The Pro adds stepless adjustment with a readout on the display, a 0.1 second timer, a single-dose mode that stops itself, anti-static technology and a cast zinc body. If you weigh your beans and want repeatable doses without standing over a button, the Pro is the one; if you are happy to pulse by hand, the Encore ESP does the same grind for less.

Can I single-dose with it?

Yes, that is the Pro's party trick. Lift off the hopper, fit the single-dose lid over the grind collar, drop in a weighed dose of up to 45 g and press start: the grinder runs until the chamber is empty and stops on its own. Hold the button for three seconds to switch between single-dose and timer modes.

Which machines does the dosing cup fit?

The dosing cup ships with a tray and a portafilter adapter, so it covers the 58 mm baskets on a Lelit Anna or Gaggia and the 54 mm baskets on Sage machines such as the Bambino Plus. Grind into the cup, seat the portafilter on top and flip.

Is this the right voltage for the UAE?

Yes. This is the 220-240 V, 50/60 Hz version rated at 70 W with a UK-style Type G plug, which is what UAE sockets take. Baratza's own quick start guide for this model is the UK, Middle East and international edition, imported through BRG.

What warranty and service do I get in the UAE?

A 1-year warranty backed locally. Baratza grinders sold by BeanBurds come through BRG, the brand's authorised distributor, so repairs and genuine parts such as the ESP Pro ring burr and holder are handled in the UAE. Baratza's guarantee is provided by the seller in your territory, which is why we only sell official stock.
